Non-V1 Hardwiring? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Getting a Radar Detector in the next couple days. Can't get the V1 because of price. So I'm thinking about a Whistler range, maybe a XTR 430 or XTR 690SE. Is it possible to fuse tap this? I dont want to short my whole car out so any kind of tips would be great too! Thanks!

Going with a 9500xi or a 8500 because cops here use lasers anyone tried to hardwire these?

You can buy an actual hardwire kit for both the 8500 and 9500 from Escort. The V1 isn't the only game in town that offers these kits.

Thanks! But can you fuse tap with out this kit? Or buy what you need from a store? Like radioshack?
