"what does he have to hide?"

Jim Messina said of Romney's defiance to release his tax returns.

I agree.

And would ask that President Obama release his law school papers too...what does he have to hide...

Don't attack Obama, if you do you're raciest.

+1, total disclosure is the best policy for all! Mitt should offer to match nobama document for document--that'll be fun!

Yup, if nobama wins the republicans just go back to work and wait for the next election.

If Romney wins the peeps will go nutz! Won't be pretty but, it may be time to just get it over and done.

Because the former is required, the latter is not. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Tax return release is not required. That is private information.

With all due respect, the condescending tone of your posts is not appreciated....especially when you are incorrect. I'm pretty sure that you would not say to my (our) face, that which you post. Food for thought.

If I were you, Mr. "I am god", I'd be ashamed to make a personal remark like that. Income information IS released for those in public office. School transcripts are never required, ever. No tone, just facts. And yes, I would unhesitatingly say it to your face.

Do you realize that you're siding with people who can't accept that their magna cum laude Harvard Law grad is their president? Is anything really going to come of this?

Purient curiosity about Mittster's tax returns, searching for dirt. Not required.

Purient curiosity about anything from our president's life, same deal. Not required.

Everybody release everything--you'll all feel better for it.

Just to be clear, becuase it seems the point was completely missed....that is from the movie "Malice"...and was a was done intentionally be Baldwin's character to get a larger settlement from the insurance which he then split with the plaintiff...but not before she murdered him...

It was said completely in jest with all of the intended irony...

That being said....

"Require: to call for or exact as obligatory; ordain: The law requires annual income-tax returns"

Please cite the law, requirement, section of the constitution...or any other part in US law which would "require" (your words) the release of tax forms.

Further, since President Obama is such a scholar....his writings should be enlightening

I pass the time on the labor floor reading US and my state supreme court opinions all the time...

I'm still wondering where the "requirement" is to release tax forms...

So, personal financial information is game...but law review writings are off limits?? Curious...BTW...I'm not interested in his grades...just his thoughts as a constitutional scholar...

When have we ever seen a president's law review writings? When has a sitting president voluntarily released non-required personal information? Why would he ever consider doing so? These "requests" have been going on for many years now. It's absolutely a fruitless waste of time. If you don't like the guy, just vote for the other one come November; but stop acting like you're speaking to some kind of movement.

I am still waiting for the "requirement"

I have been looking for a balanced review of some of his writings...I can only find those who think his writing is not very substantial...

http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/08/early_obama_letter_confirms_inability_to_write.htm l

Is a typical example...

Maybe you'll find another forum member who feels this is a topic worth debating. I only see a pathetic obsession.
