Look what landed on my drive at the weekend.
This is the partners brothers pride and joy on a rare outing.

I thought that.

They really are a stunning car. Whenever I see one I think I want to buy one and head over to AUC/AT/P'heads and they can be so cheap to buy, BUT, the running costs will most likely forever put me off.

Yes. It's sounds freakin awesome. I think they are einsmann or something like that and they were quite expensive. As for running costs. Well he only runs it six months a year though it keeps the miles down as it has low miles anyway.

THey are expensive cars to run but if someone is doing low miles then shouldn't be a massive increase over normal costs. Depends on whether you can justify the expense and live with the bills.

For example my car only gets used to go to work normally, approx 3k per year. Average is low 30s per gallon, compare with an M5 at say 18mpg would mean only an extra 500 per year on fuel. Servicing, insurance etc would also rocket a bit which might make me get a bit twitchy but the noises must be glorious.

He loves it, so much apart from driving the wife's 320i coupe now and again his other car is a 1.4 fiesta with over 100 k on the clock.

My old man bought a low mileage fully loaded touring one last year (seem to hold value more than saloons) and they are expensive to run, he has spent last year one month alone 1000 in petrol.

But it's an epic car, with immense performance. I love it!!
