Trunk release w/ fob a coding function?
I used to be able to open my trunk with the fob, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Is it because I installed and coded the factory alarm which means holding down the trunk release button on the fob for more than 3 seconds is now the panic button, or did I wipe out the setting coding something else? If the latter, anyone know the module and function to look at for coding the trunk release with fob?

it's still there
hold for 2 seconds and release for trunk holding any longer than 5 seconds will activate panic it's annoying, but there's no other way

Make sure you didn't flip the switch in the glove box. I had a passenger do that once and I could not figure it out. I thought the solenoid had gone out and was about to dig into the guts of the trunk latch when I figured it out.

Same thing happened to me, he was trying to figure out the secret switch for releasing the flashlight...

Thanks for the tip on holding it down for 2 seconds. Seems that that is a new feature of the alarm, as I used to be able to click it and it would pop open pretty quickly. No matter, as long as it works.
