Well I guess that sucks for me. I'll just have to live with the door handle LED's coming on.

Problem I find is---I keep my interior lights off all the time. When the interior lights are off, the LED's on the door handles don't light up when unlocking the car. Kinda strange.

Just swap in a newer module and code away. Check out the BMW coding forum for more info. Hint: not this one...

How simple is it to find a new module though?

If you want REAL simple, order from the dealer although $$$. Or just check online salvage yards. They pop up from time to time.

Does this affect how bright the angel eyes are when in DRL mode or is that another setting?

Sure, just change NSW_FKT_PARKL and NSW_FKT_SL to active. I haven't seen Grant@DetailAddict's thread so I'm not sure if it's the same solution or not.

It overrides everything. They will always be bright. DRL or not.

Can you explain how to edit the NETTODAT in which module to get the brighter AE?
I figured out. Thanks anyway.

This is not working for OEM LED AE (Corona rings). Do you know how to make them to stay bright when the head lights are on?

The aftermarket leds run through step down transformers because the leds themselves run at around 4 volts. Upping the voltage won't have any effect because the leds will still be regulated by the transformer. This is why aftermarket AE leds don't dim with the head lights.

hope that all makes sense

Nope, no idea. I don't have an LCI to mess around with.

I tried my best with my 2012 and no luck so far. There is an additional wire which controls the brightness. Someone cut the wire to test it and worked after that.
