2008 335i Coupe suspension
I am thinking about getting 19" wheels for my coupe. Two question:
1. What type of springs would you recommend for 335i coupe? 2. How low would you recommend I drop the front and rear springs to make the 19" wheels look low profile but w/o degrading the suspension or performance? Thanks in advance for all comments. |

Most times when you change springs, you want to change shocks too to match certain desired rebound/damper. I have read some threads that certain spring/shock combo could be bad. Koni shocks and Eibach springs is a good combo but if you got the extra money, go the coilovers direction. KWv1 goes for like $1500 and the drop is perfect for your wheels, esp since you can adjust the ride height. I'm saving up for some coilovers myself.

Don't go with springs alone as you will stress out the remaining components. Go with coilover set. Your mechanic should put them on in a standard setting... drive it for a few weeks to let the suspension settle to its ride height... then lower +/- stiffen according to taste.
KW's & Bilstein PSS both good... I'm personally using KW V3's. |
