Today had a near-crash experience going south on Princess Margaret Road and turning onto Chatham Road.

The bridge connecting the two has a slight crest where you could not see the road ahead. I was doing around 80 km/h and at the top of the crest only could i see bunch of cars stuck at the red light. Immediately I hit the brakes and realize I am nowhere to stopping in time so I slammed it harder and the brakes locked. Tires screeched and still I am travelling too fast. Car finally stopped and lucky the lane was wide and I managed to swerve to aside to avoid crashing into the C class in front.

A bit concerned with my 330i's braking distance. Should I upgrade my brakes?

Here's the location on Google Maps : http://g.co/maps/jupzz

Try upgrading your tires. With upgraded brakes and low rated tires, the same thing will happen but more often than you'd like.

Slowing down in front of blind spots would'nt hurt either.
