If you have ever tried to replace your stock air filter on your N52, you'll be all too familiar with the lengthy process of removing the airbox to simply check on your air filter. BMW offered a solution to this in the European market, with this top-loading style airbox. Simply remove the top panel and you have easy access to your air filter.

Further advantages over conventional airboxes include a less restrictive system: American market airboxes use a panel filter in conjunction with a secondary filter/muffler that greatly impedes airflow. Utilizes a cylindrical type air filter instead of a flat panel filter.

I think the price is more than fair. Consider the fact that a similar AFE intake is priced higher than the euro box. Sure I asked if there was any special pricing for forum members before ordering, but just out of curiosity. All aside - I'm glad i decided to go with the euro box over anything else available. On top of it all, ECS was a pleasure to do business with. They kept me well informed about the status of my order, and got it to my door with haste. Pull the trigger, you won't regret it!

I'm just wondering if it's even worth it I just bought the Afe stage2 sealed box 2 months ago for my E90, to spend another 400$ when I already have an intake is difficult. What do you guys think what are the benefits over the Afe stage 2 vs euro. The Afe has dyno proven results for the gains and the euro intake i researched the gains are mostly at lower rpm range compared to higher rpm range for Afe stage 2

eh. If you already have a new intake, then I really can't say. I was upgrading from the stock US box, and wanted to keep it OEM under the hood.

We try to price products so everyone can take advantage of the savings. For my forum guys I try to get the word out to you on items like the Euro Airbox as soon as we get them in so you can have first grabs.

yes they come with a euro version paper filter (cylindrical shape), you don't need a new snorkel, the stock snorkel will work with the euro airbox. goodluck!

The air box comes with the factory filter so you do not have to purchase a new one. It's not a "regular cone" filter, but it's a lot easier to deal with than the original. Also PM sent.

I'm also interested in this setup but it looks like the K&N filter part for this euro air box is not in stock - backordered. Any idea on when this might be available?
