1st post on the forum. I had some difficulties extracting and burning the 2012 East DVD w/ Red Light & Speed Cam's and Speed Traps http://www.mediafire.com/file/29dr8q...ms.rar.torrent to dvd.
For future reference:
1. Download *.rar file with bittorrent and save
2. Open *.rar file with winrar to reveal *.iso file
3. Save *.iso file.
4. Burn *.iso file to DVD (I used a DVD-R) as an IMAGE with Free ISO BURNER 1.2. DVD did NOT work if it was not burned as an IMAGE.

DVD operates as it should in my '07.

Sorry if these are elementry steps and already known by most here. Thought they may be of some future help to a noob, such as myself.

I will leave the east map torrent seeding for a while...

I'm having issues with my 2012 DVD from this thread. I burned it on a memorex DVD. First using 6x, which eventually gave me disc error when trying to initiate guidance while the car was moving. I reburned it with 2.4x and I am still getting the same error. It will happen when I try to start guidance, it will freeze while determining the route and then get a disc error. Sometimes it will be in the middle of a route and get a disc error. What brand of DVDs are you guys using?

I used some generic value wal-mart brand, they are blue on top side and real dark purple on the burn side.

What's the newest rev?

My drive would not read any of the non-OEM disks so I broke down and bought the 2012 OEM disks from BMW ($200). Guess what? The drive won't read those disks either. I'm taking the car to BMW tomorrow and have them check the drive and replace it if it is bad. I'm still under the new car warranty so it should be covered.

If you are having issues and have tried different versions, it could very well be your drive.

I have a couple of burned 2011 disks that would not work in my vehicle. PM me if you want them. I know I have West but not sure of East. I'll check tomorrow after work. I have the professional stereo.
