hood liner
Hi,
i bought my car recently and found there is no liner under the hood. i guess it is used for insulation and not to hear the ticking of the engine. first of all why would someone take this out when they sell the car? second, what is this part called, where can i buy it from (except dealer) thank you |

try to get it from tischerbmw which is on getbmwparts.com
Someone might want to remove it (guessing) to not absorb as much heat EDIT: Read that some cars don't come with it.

When my '07 E91 hood had to be replaced due to a falling tree limb, the body shop had a difficult time getting an OEM liner.
And IIRC, the hood liner was discontinued on some models a few years back. Are you certain your car ever had one? Tom |
