I go to Bill's on colonial. They do a pretty good jobs nd its not super expensive. Make sure u show ur student id and get discount.

Anyone here have their mufflers cut or resonators removed on a STOCK exhaust?

I'd love to hear how it sounds...I really don't feel like throwing $2k on an exhaust unit :-)

If you have catless downpipes installed...it doesn't matter.

We just welded the secondary cats back in on a automatic N54 335i. I can tell you this much: the car had Raceland downpipes, and cut the secondary cats out of the stock exhaust, and it sounded absolutely horrid in my opinion.

LOL I appreciate the brutal honesty!

I've read that the cats being removed is a bad idea...but on the E92 simply removing the mufflers sounds pretty good. I've heard a few sound clips on youtube...but I'd prefer to hear it in person.

Ideally I would want to remove the mufflers only...either that or just find a set of mufflers to add on that don't break the bank :-(
