convertible window problem??

ok, i have a 2011 328i conv. and my girlfriend just sold her 2009 335i conv. for an audi (crazy, right?) anyways, BOTH of us have the same problem. When you put the top UP only, and you let the windows go up while holding in the top up button, one or both front windows will shoot back down. I assume that since it happens to both of us this is a common problem. With her car we had the dealer "fix" it, even though it did nothing. Thoughts??

Interesting. My car does the same. But I don't care, I use the switch on the driver side door.

the windows have a sensor so little fingers don't get stuck in the window as it's closing. The sensor can sometimes be too sensitive, or be triggered by dirt in the window track. Clean the track. If it still does it, then take it in for service

Garage List
This topic has been posted a few times before, so it's a pretty common issue.
I've just learned to expect it and live with it. No biggie.

Yep. It's the pinch detection thingamajig (the technical term of course).
In this case, the "pinchee" is seen to be your back side window or front window (depending upon who hits the finish line first).

Mine did the same (only 4 months old here), but fortunately the dealer (apparently) fixed it by calibrating the window thingamabob!

Works great now!
