Just ordered Performance Exhaust!!

Are there black chrome tips available for the Performance exhaust? I have an all-black exterior and black tips would be awesome.

Apparently I am getting a sweet deal on the PE: $940 brand new shipped.

I am really jealous, I have been wanting one of these for a while now. May I ask where you got it from? I might have to pull the trigger on a deal like this.

Must have been BMW of Monrovia for that price. Got mine from there after seeing a link on this forum last month. They will probably charge you $120-$150 for shipping.

I just noticed your price was shipped. Where did you get that price? I also live in Mass. If it was bmw Monrovia I was originally charged $40.00 for shipping online but soon got a call from the parts manager telling me that was an error by google checkout and that the price would be adjusted to cover shipping the large box.

Not sure if they are; the exhaust tips from the perf exhaust are part of the exhaust itself. They are not like the bolt-on's you see on a stock exahust.

You can always chop off the tips and have a muffler shop weld on different ones. DiMisa 3.0" tips will fit and they offer them in matte black I believe? Cyba also has some 3.0" black chrome tips not sure if they will fit though but I don't see why not.

I see that now. Sucks. I wouldn't want to have that done.

Yeah, they called me too. Sounded too good to be true. Another dealer is stepping up though, and is offering 983 shipped. Might bite that but still waiting for one other dealer to get back to me. Will let you know.

Don't know what shipping will be like. I picked mine up. Expect taxes though.

I hoped you got the uninstalled price. $125 to install this exhaust with clamps is a JOKE.

I paid $40 for a welded installation at an indy; which takes a lot more time.

In fact I paid $75 for the installation and for cutting the PE tips to weld new ones.

At the dealer, they only use the 3 provided clamps for the PE; so it may take them what... A GOOD 10 minutes to install?

I'll let you do the maths.

I read the DIY. Doesn't seem that easy. Why'd a respected Indy shop quote me $200?

A respectable muffler shop wont need no DIY. An exhaust line is an exhaust line.

Go ahead with the dealer if you're comfortable with it. I was just stating that this is a blatant rip off because its no rocket science.

BMW of Newport (RI)charged $190.00 to install my exhaust. A little high, but the car was already there being serviced when the exhaust arrived and I was told the part and installation was warranteed by BMW that way. They had it about an extra 45 minutes doing the install.

Ok, I am getting mine installed on Wednesday. Local dealer matched Monrovias price, plus tax, so $934 and their installation charge is just $131! I am very excited
