Custom made dual-outlet BMW PE

As plenty of you know I got my BMW PE extended into a dual outlet a couple weeks ago. I initially said the sound decreased in aggressiveness due to the extended piping and back pressure created... but now that I'm a full 3 weeks and a little over a thousand miles in, I noticed an improvement in sound. I'm actually flirting with the idea that it sounds even better than a stock PE.

Anyway here's a video of a cold start from this afternoon.
What do you think?

People sitting outside.. didn't want to rev it up too much... They are neighbours after all

I cut the BMW Performance ones and welded them back on after the extensions.
So basically, they're the same ones as the stock BMW Performance, just separated.

I always loved their tips, they're just big enough and stainless steel, how can I go wrong?

You think it would be possible to quad tip that kind of setup because i'm planning to do the exact same thing you did but with quad tip, unless you can recommend a better quad setup.

Depends if you want to go quads " la" 328i or " la" 335i.

If you want outer placed quads (this means actual 2 tips stay at the same place and you just add 2 extra tips on the other right side): Then I suggest just get an Eisenmann or Remus quad exhaust because they already offer them in that configuration. You'll just need to bolt-on the setup given the fact that your actual bumper will have to be cut from the right side to make way for the extra tips.

If you want inward placed quads like the M3, then you'll have to do the job I did with whatever exhaust you like, but with 2 tips at each side instead of one. This would mean you would have to change the bumper because your actual tips are too far out right.

I prefer the 335i style because it's simply more BMWlike and it doesn't seem modified. Also, since you have to change the bumper, you can get an M-tech with a diffuser that looks way way better IMO.

Hope this helps

I know about the Remus & Eisenmann quad exhausts but they just don't seem to fit the style I want, also i've heard how they sound and pretty much it sounds like stock. Which is why I steered clear away from those exhausts. But I do have to agree that the diffuser style does look better.

So I might just ditch the quad setup and do what you did, but you got any more videos? i'd really like to hear a drive-by or higher revs on your new exhausts.

Ok, you need to share some more info!

Looks like it would work on stock exhaust.
Which shop did you go to? And how much to make this work on stock exhaust, cut the right side of the bumper and make it quads?

There's a whole thread on what I did with before and after pictures guys, I posted the link above...
Extensions cost me 250$ and I got my bumpers from **********s, installed them by a friend so I got a discount on labor.

You can have a listen on July7 at a Alameda car show, you'll be able to hear my set up and I'm selling my eisenmann exhaust pipes, that'll do good on sound and hp.

"E92" and "ugly" are two words that cannot be utilized in the same sentence!
