N55 Intake Bracket - where were you when I needed you!! :)

I think my car is psychic.

I got all excited that the securing bracket was mailed out and was really surprised I hadn't had any issues yet....

until last night.

Car started to run like crap and stall at stop lights. At first I thought it was the E85 but it had run great for the last 200 miles on the 5gal/10gal mix.

I limped to a gas station and popped the hood and saw the intake popped off. and I was extra certain to secure it properly and even re-checked it at the dragstrip last week but it just *REALLY* needs that bracket.

Lol so weird. I had the intake on for over 2000 miles And nothing like that ever happened.

I see you have one of the earlier ones that has maybe 1/8" of extra material before the "nub" where it connects. The newer ones don't have that extra material and are cut flush, which makes the clamp easier to set straight. Although as long as you tighten the clamp carefully and have the bracket on I don't think it will be an issue. You could sand the plastic on that end down a bit if you wanted it to match the newer ones, or if that isn't an option I can have BMS send you another plastic tube.
