To be honest buddy - they didnt have to do anything (by the letter of the law) but glad I got somewhere with it. 50% of the cost is better than 100% of the cost - although I do take on board your points - not unusual to meet in the middle with things of this nature and as I am sure you can appreciate I just want to get it done rather than keep the debate going.

I understand you just want this sorted but I also reckon this should have been done FOC. Plenty have been done under warranty and others perhaps have had 100% goodwill. Given its such a known fault its clearly a component issue and should be FOC replacement.
