Cable

Hi Guys,

Been reading quite alot here, trying to get EDIABAS & INPA working for diagnostics.

Trying to run on 2008 BMW 328i E93 -

Got everything set with INPA and EDIABAS, variables etc..

However I'm thinking it might be the cable I got..

Do I need K-CAN + D-CAN, or that cable should work?

Also, at device manager there is no choice for latency. See screenshot -

Thanks!

You have to click on the Advanced Tab/button

To get to the screen where com port number and the latency setting are shown.

you need a DCAN cable for 08 models, K-CAN +DCAN should work as well. I learned it the hard way by buying a DCAN cable for my 06 E90, only to find out that 06 and 07 models made before march only work with K-CAN cable.

You should be able to adjust latency after installing the cable driver, if its still not an option you probably have a newer driver and don't need to worry about it.
