had to shop around for a brake flush
flush. Dealer wanted $206. Indie wanted $168.
But what's remarkable is the mentality at BMW, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. No, I'd just like to know ahead of time what it's going to cost.Of all the dealerships I called, most did not answer the phone, nor did they call back. I don't care what anyone says, I think that's bad customer service. Anyhow, found a dealer who said $125. BINGO! And give me that free 4 cyl. 328i loaner all day too! |

this is why I do this myself. I hate relying on other people to do simple maintenance on a car.

i got a local goto guy for brake flushs and trans fluid changes. i think he added like 50$ for the labor on the brakes. hes a old racer and enjoys the n54 - so it all works out.

I got it done yesterday, and they charged me $125 as quoted. I checked before and after, and sure enough, now the fluid is clear, before it was slightly darker. They even did not fill it completely, they put it back to the same level as before, which is what I would have done (the idea being that the pads wore and so the level drops off the max mark in the reservoir)....
