3 McLaren Mp4-12C's

A short video I shot of my dad and two McLaren forum members when they went on a drive. I couldn't get any audio of the cars because everyone was in such a hurry to drive away from the chase vehicle haha

very nice. I'm hoping to get a ride in one of these one day.

My dad went out with the dealer in one, and the sales guy was pulled over before my dad had a chance to drive it his first time out.

The next time my dad went for a test drive, he couldn't stop talking about how impressive the car was.

You've got some editing skills. Let me know if you ever want to shoot my car.

P.S. what does your Dad and his buddies do for work...?

What type of rig did you use for the moving shots? Your slider work and color grading is really nice as well.

thanks! as for the rig, I'm sorry to say I was only using a Glidecam 1000 HD and standing out of the sunroof of a mercedes going 60 at times. The steadicam footage was then smoothed out even more in post.

Awesome will do!

My dad did some computer programming and software development as well as some consulting with my mother for 30 years and started a company together, but they've been retired for over 10 years now. One of the other owners works for Apple now as a product designer, cool guy !

Glidecam 1000 is still a really nice tool if you can operate it correctly, and it's clear that you can. I'm always a bit skeptical of post-stabilization, because it sometimes does some warping when doing a radial move or arc around the subject. However, even with those challenges, post-stabilization is a lifesaver, I've used it with some degree of success on a couple of budget aerial shoots in a heli.

If you can get your hands on one, you can rig a SteadiCam sled and arm with a vehicle mount, typically larger SUV or truck. SteadiCam with the full vest and iso arm is a lot of fun, and works wonders for any production with the right operator. Again, sweet vid!

Cool!

I'm headed up to BR on Thursday if you're in the area. Getting an intake and spoiler installed

I've got my last final on thursday but I should be around afternoonish. My car is at the dealership still trying to settle a misfire then once it comes back my buddy and I will be installing a CXracing intercooler which I hope to see some nice gains and lower temps!

Tell robb or bruce that Dillon says hi
