gingerbread is an issue with factory Bluetooth it seems. Lots of people were fine with froyo, stopped cooperating after updates. it appears that roms like cyanogen fix the issue.

Well to get back to my original problem I just let the car "rest" for like 10 minutes and then deleted the phone from the car's memory and then paired the phone and bluetooth module again.

Does your HTC phone have Sense UI? If so it might not fully integrate with your Bluetooth. I have iDrive and HTC Sensation, what I noticed it that any rom that uses Sense UI will not load contacts into my iDrive, however once I installed CyanogenMod rom it worked like a charm. My Nexus One paired just fine but that just had plain Android. See if you can use you friend's phone with CyanogenMod or something and check if it connects.

Hello
Did you find the solution? I have same problem, but i have i-drive (M-ASK). Something is loaded to the i-drive, because i can not see letters in the i-drive which is not in the phone book of my phone start with that letter. I tried it with a NOKIA and an iphone 4S. Same problem with the two phone. Kdbcz |

FWIW, I have factory bluetooth and iDrive in my 2006 330i and I've had three Androids, HTC Aria, HTC Inspire, and HTC Vivid. All worked fine in every regard and with multiple Android OS's (stock HTC, modded Sense, and cyanogenmod) on each phone.
In short, it's NOT Android causing the problem. |
