You'll be a happier guy soon - $600 labor not unusual for bushing R&R around the Bay. What are you paying in NYC?

Assuming your shop's doing the work, or is your shop actually your shop?

Goes w/o saying, doin' it anyway, you're way ahead if you DIY. Dropping the subframe not at all diff, neither is bushing R&R with HP Autowerk's $58 rental tool. Know your car!
