BLACK car: Gunmetal or Matte Black Wheels? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

What would you guys prefer on a black car, matte black/gloss black wheels or gunmetal wheels?

I need opinions please!

depends...do you like the mudered out look? if not go for gunmetal. i have gunmetal with mirrored face on my monaco blue and it looks pretty good

well i like the murdered out look but it has to be glossy black, not matte, cuz all matte to me looks sorta cheap. Do you ever think about getting matte black? or are you happy with your gunmetals?

well i have monaco blue...its a very dark blue, but not quite black. I am happy with gunmetal on my car, but would probably go with black rims if I had a black car.

why not gloss black or color-matched black? (depending on if you have Jet Black or Black Sapphire Metallic) Even gunmetal throws off the look sometimes...

My current wheels are color-matched powder coated Jet Black. Gloss black looks best on a black car IMHO. Pics are in My Garage if you want to see what m6 wheels look like in gloss JB.

gunmetals look good on light colored cars (contrast) black wheels should go on a black car... gloss black definitley

I think gunmetal or the VMR hyperblack. Black wheels on black car work if you're going for a truly murdered out look, but in my opinion lacks a certain contrast.
