E90 speaker question.

I have a 2006 325i 4 door 2th SA663 audio. I have collected speakers from the Alpine upgrade kit via Ebay.

My question is, are the speakers in the doors the same size as the alpines ir do I need some sort of adapter to fit them?. The reason I ask is, I went to fit a pair in place of the rear parcel shelf speakers and lo and behold, they're larger than the OEM speakers... so before I go tearing my doors apart only to find I need additional hardware, I thought I'd ask here.

The door speaker mounting flange is slightly larger than the rear deck.
