A Note for the dealership !!!

I dropped my car at BMW dealership for oil change and was little worried about my new gunmetal rims. So I pasted this small note on the steering wheel to remind anyone to be careful with the wide rims.
The guy at the front desk appreciated my concern and wrote additional comment on my note later for the mechanics inside.

If I worked there you car would be the one I used for the food run. You might as well just say, " you are all morons and I don't trust you with my car."

Well done. I always contemplate putting "don't total my car," but I tell my SA instead.

probably with that kind of note they will be making donuts with my car.

anyway, the language matters a lot, thats why its a "Request" and not a "note"

thnx.
The SA I work with is a nice professional, but the car deals with many other guys. there is no harm in requesting :-). And believe me one more guy who delivered the car at the end appreciated this.

well his wheels are wider than stock, so i think the note is acceptable. if he had a stock car and asked people not to scratch the paint -- that's a whole 'nother story

If they can't see that then they should probably not be working on his car. I could see dropping a motorcycle off and putting a sign that says reverse shifting. Rims are rims. They see them when they get in.

I remember I told my SA one time never wash my car and he never did and put it in his notes. I went to a diff SA mine was on vacay and this guy brought my car all washed and I yelled at him and told him its in the notes and low and behold my rims were messed up. They agreed to fix them but still they are careless at times. i was running 10 inch wheels in the rear with 285s...

How much more was your oil change this time? I understand your concern with your rims but you have to remember this is basically telling these people they are dumb and cannot pick up on the obvious.

Good idea you have to take care of what's yours. However, my SA once put "DO NOT WASH" on the work order, keys, and car. Guess what? They washed it. It's a shame that we have to do these things because no one cares or pays attention.

I have a note in my file to not wash my car when it's in for service.

Yet, EVERY. TIME. I pick up my car they have run it through that awful "car wash." I have thought about leaving a note in the car. Maybe I will next time (and maybe ill make it bilingual lol)

I take 3M Painters tape and write DO NOT WASH and place it on the windshield, back glass, side window and on the steering wheel.
