I did this mod for my friend with BSM. Purchased vinyl from Currie's at Market Village Plaza in GTA. They have a pretty good colour selection.

I wouldn't reco doing it for white cars, as you can see the orange through the white...imo, makes it look worst/cheaper!

Here's another pic of the mod;

And I did the same on my new 750i;

And I agree, it only looks good on black, jet black is the best. The vinyl I used is flat black.

Nicely done!

Are you pulling out the reflector first, then putting on vinyl on it? Or applying it on the car, then cutting around the edges?

I cut a piece of vinyl, stick it on top of the reflector, run my nails against the vinyl and reflector edge, if you have long enough nails it'll basically cut the vinyl along the reflector edge. Once I've run my nail against the edge, I carefully take a knife and trim along the edge.

It's very simple, just make sure you clean your reflector before applying the vinyl or you're going to get dirt trapped under the vinyl which will make it bumpy.

The vinyl has no adhesive? It just sticks by itself and stays on over time, even with car washes, etc.?

Well if you go through one of those new Husky carwashes the vinyl might tear, it happen to me once or twice but if you're washing by hand or getting your car washed by someone it should be fine.

I was thinking about using Plasti Dip ... I paid enough over the years for painted reflectors and black gilles
