I didn't read the whole thread so this may have been said.

I will drive this car until its time to get the new F32 . Well a couple years into their existence anyway. Or a X5 may be a Jr. in my future.

I would think the E9x will hold their value for a long time like the E46. My co-worker is selling his 01 E46 sedan for near 6k. Not bad..

No way, mine is going as soon as the warranty is up. Not only that, but my eyes are already set on a CTS-V. Given that my 335i is still new, I won't get one until they release the next-gen model. I just hope they don't F it up between now and then.

I am a sucker for new technology. My 35 E92 can't last forever...or can it....... But I'll treat it as best as I can and make it last as long as it can.

996 turbos are easy to find in manual as long as you don't want some super rare color combo.

Ideally, absolutely! Who knows what will happen. I would like to keep it till I get something new and make my 335 a track car. Guess we'll see what happens!

I plan to keep it until at least the new M4 comes out (ETA summer 2015) if not a little bit later. It's a perfect car for me - great daily driver that sees about 5 track days per year

Took delivery 4/07, paid off 4/10, only have 45k on the clock after 5 yrs. 3mo.

Will probably part out and trade in for used X5 after doing Euro Delivery for M4.

I have fought off every temptation to get an e92 M3 and saved my money (minus all the mods I've done )

I would have sold mine except that its getting high miles now, and the turbos just went out. Went with RB's to replace and this car will be making too much power for what it will be worth to sell in a few years, might as well keep it.

I'm going to hold on to it for another 3 years or so. I plan on passing 100K at least. It's a good car and I hope it holds up until then with a minimum of unscheduled work.

I'll probably look at getting an ATS-V or CTS-V by that time hopefully.

Love my 335 for its overall value and practicality of a sedan. Power and luxury in a sedan with a straight six turbo 6spd that is affordordable. Big/reliable power(600hp) is right around the corner for these sleeper machines. 997 is really the only other car I REALLY want but its still not affordable or practical like the 335.

i was lucky enough that my e90 was my first car that was truly mine. I plan on keeping it till it dies and can't wait to see what it looks like in a year, 5 years, 10 years. it'll always be special to me and never something i'll let go.

My buddy has a 2011 CTS-V all black and its a sick sick car. He is all stock because its a lease and he has a worked 08 C6 to dump money into but even stock its a monster. Ive driven it once for about an hour and enjoyed every minute of it. It just has a bad ass presence. Apparently the lease rates are really competetive especially compred to BMW, Audi and Merc.

I will keep it until the cost (time, headaches, and money) of keeping it out weighs the cost of replacing it. But then that's no different than with any car I buy. They are just nice transportation for me. I just don't see the point of getting rid of a car that functions well and is in good condition (the motor, the interior and the outside).

I don't expect my 335 to actually last for 25 years, but I do expect I'll have it for at least another 5 years. I still have the hand-me-down '86 S Class my folks gave me years ago, and it's around 200K miles old. I mostly, now that I have bought a '10 5er, use it as a training car for my kids; however, before that, it was my car when I was the designated driver when going out with another couple for dinner to the theater. But even after I've bought all my kids their own 1 or 3 series BMW, I'll still keep, or give it to a family member or friend, it if it's still in good condition.

I would say the best car I owned was my '89 Accord coupe (it was liberated by parties unknown to me.). Not so much because of its abilities as a "driving machine," but because it did everything I needed it to do, it was inexpensive to own, and it never needed a repair and nothing ever broke on it. Second was my E36, for the same reasons, but the driver's side fog light went south on it; I just didn't bother to repair it. (I gave it to a cousin because they needed a car and I didn't mind buying my e92 since my ex-wife got the other car in the settlement.)
