Booster Seat - any advice

Just a quickie, my Daughter is now 5 and currently uses a Recaro Start (http://www.recaro-seats.co.uk/child-...caro-start.php), which apparently accomodates a child until age 12 (I fail to see how a 12 year old would fit!!) however am thinking about getting a booster seat instead.

I know you can pick up a booster seat for £5 (http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/...02_10001_14568) but is there any merit in spending more on one (http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/...65_10001_14568) for comfort/quality/safety???

A second question would be, does anyone know of a very narrow based booster seat, specifically for the buckets in the Zed???

For me I'd avoid booster seats. I know they're legal, I know the others are huge, over engineered, expensive and a PITA, I know when we were younger we rattled around the back of whatever our parents were driving. But let's face it, space and convenience over potentially reducing injury.

Over to you.

My kids are 7 and 5 and both still sit in a full child seat with Isofix. I just don't like the fact that boosters have no side, back or head support. They have sat in boosters in my car and love them but for the main day to day travel I prefer the enhanced safety of the full seat. No doubt they will get too big soon but for now I'm happy.

The QQ has ISOFIX but my Zed hasn't (not that it's used often with my Daughter). But the Recaro seat isn't ISOFIX anyway. My Son is ISOFIX'd up to the eyeballs (he can't go in mine as I can't deactivate the airbag.
