Summer / Spring / Fall

Once a week, Same with any car ive owned... I wash/clay/polish etc once in spring and again in fall..

Black is harder but it does look nice, Using good products helps take away some of the effort.

I cant wax / full detail every few weeks with a baby and 50hours of work. By most " Non car people's standards " Im already crazy and when I say my car is dirty they think its clean..

The inside is always spotless, I vacuum, meguirs interior detail w/microfiber twice a week. I cant stand the nasty dust.

Food and Smoking doesnt come near my car.

Winter

Unless its not completely freezing outside ill try to stick to the schedule but its hard.... I still always find time to atleast clean the rims no matter what since it can be done fast at a DIY place and I always wash off salt/snow asap.

Black Sapphire Metallic. I am used to black since I have had my black Pathfinder since 1993. I wash the BMW every week and the Pathfinder about every two weeks (along with my wife's white Volvo). Yeah, with all three in a row in the driveway we definitely get the "oreo" effect... I try to remove bird droppings as soon as I see them.

An aside, I do wish I could get the high gloss deep look on the BSM that I can get on the non-metallic black on the Pathfinder.

I wash it every friday afternoon after work. Its my way to wash the week off both the car and my mind...

yeah, bird dropping left on the car for a while seem to eat into the paint.

Mines black and during the summer it's hand washed every Saturday morning. During other times of the year when it's not as nice out, I have unlimited car washes at a car wash in town and have been know to go sometimes 27 out of 30 days a month. Luckily someone else is washing and hand drying at those times.

They hand wash it though right? God forbid some stupid machine leaves spider web squigglies on your car.

Yeah I avoid the machines best I can. Only in the winter (if it's not freezing) will I run it through just to get the undercarriage.

Sapphire black... I've only had my car a month, so I'm still in the honeymoon phase. I have been washing it almost every day.

I use optimum no-rinse for most washes.
