DDM Tuning from is from China???
So after placing my order from DDM Tuning I was given a tracking number that didn't look like usual tracking numbers. I tracked it with USPS according to their website and it is coming from China? I know people have complained about their slow shipping times. I guess this is the reason. So if it's coming from China then why was I charged tax? I thought you only pay tax if it's from your state?

Hello
|
I am local, and they have most of their kits in stock, but once in a while (I've experienced it before) they won't have it in-stock and will do a direct ship from the factory in china. Yes their shit is made in china like everything else in the world, so no big surprise there.
And as for being charged tax, they are a retailer of california and you purchased/having it shipped to you in california. Doesn't matter where it's shipped from, it's where the retailer is.

careful with those foggies.. I've went through 2 pairs and have error cancelers and they still keep going out after about 20-30 seconds of being lit up. So pissed I didn't just pay the top dollar for high quality hids from start since all the time and money spent is wayyy more than for the high quality HID kit.. just fiy.. I also have the slim ballast 3k kit from them on an e90 and know its common to have this problem.. not too sure about e92s

Most lighting is produced in China, unless you are buying actual Sylvania or philips bulbs to name a few. IF you guys are looking for a kit that works with no problems the high performance bulbs kit has been working stellar on a few dozens locals, including my 335i. I believe you payed tax because they are out of California and you live in California. It doesn't matter where it ships from because they are conducting business in California and you live in California therefore you are taxed.
