E92 - How to remove the seat belt extender end?

I suspect that someone broke the end of the seat belt extender while detailing the car(before I bought it), so the clip that should open no longer does. I've acquired a replacement end, and it looks like it should just slide right in to the rail that slides out of the door-frame. I looked at it this morning before leaving for work, but can't seem to see an easy way to remove it.

The part came with instructions on how to remove the whole setup, which includes removing all of the trim, something that I'd like to avoid doing.

You have to remove the trim either way. It's not that hard actually.

Rats. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until the weekend to tackle that one. Thanks for the heads up.
