It is between $40 and $50, depending on the humor of the dealer... P/N 61146971370.

The female plug are made for 8g rather than 4g. But you can always "make" it fit.
See attached picture to compare the plug vs 4g wire.

Also keep in mind, the wire runs are fairly short so most installs can get away with 8g.

As for unplugging the gnd before plugging the pos side in , it depends if there is a load on the otherside. But might as well make it a habit and unplug it. From what I observed, you only lose trip meter and mpg calculations with negative terminal disconnected..

There is another pn ending in 94 instead of 92 that accomodates larger gauge wire

I'd rather use the one with the smaller hole and make it fit
That's what i did
Twice
And I moved it to my new car

2x 4 gauge power cables
I'm a huge fan of overdoing it when it comes to cables
4 gauge for power
10 gauge speaker wire for subs

I did the same thing but no reason for guys not to get the larger diameter MAK-8 connector. The female socket is the same, just the arms which grab the wire that are larger.

Oh cruds, thanks for the tip..
Wish I knew that earlier. It would have saved a lot of time and solder. ( Yes, I did get the 4g soldered on to that tiny pin. )
