Sport seats - Sparco (airbag & seat belt)
Hello
I am interested in Sparco front seats - exactly like IND's project Green Hell - photo attached. I want to use standard seat belt so I have two question 1. do you know where to fix part number 1. - from this ilustration - because it is normally screwed on the former original seat http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E9...ounting_parts/ 2. in front seats are airbags, is it possible to deactivate them? Thank you very much for every reply!!! http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6109/...a3661fa5_b.jpg ![]() |

Part #1 is fixed onto the floor mount adaptor itself.

I spent 45 mins installing the seat with the VAC kit. Everything lined up perfectly. It took me literally five hours to install the other seat and it was still installed incorrectly. The Recaro side rails were 2 millimeters off their seat rail holes AND the seat rail holes were 1 millimeters off the floor mount adaptors. At the end of the day, I had to mount a floor mount adaptor backwards, didn't install the seat rails, and on top of that, I had to strip two screws on the floor mounts because I got angry and just started forcing the bolts in. LESSON LEARNED. Buy a full "Kit" from a vendor. Don't piece together parts. I went for the VAC kit because they are local and it was a breeze for my other seat. So I went and bought another kit from them for my other seat and changed out the recaro bits. My .02$ |
