Is it really time to move on to f30?

I Have an e92 and i love it. Seeing this video made me think that maybe is time for an F30.



What u guys think? How much longer to keep the e9x? I only had it for a year since i sold my e46

I don't see the f30 being much of an upgrade honestly other then the fact it's newer.

But still waiting to see the look of the coupe.

I dont like the f30....... I like the looks, dont like the drive. Im sticking with my e90 for a while, then I'll be switching to my dream car, e46 m3

i would wait till the f80 comes out to see what features could be retrofitted to the f30..

I am into the e46 m3 thing as well. But as days go by it gets more and more outdated. I like to move forward, new technologies 8 speed gbox. Adaptive m sunspension twin power turbo... Etc..

I drove one and found it soft. The styling although better then an E90 still doesn't compete with an E92 IMO.

I don't see any reason at all. The 328 is a bit of a step up engine wise but the 335 is pretty much the same shit with a new body slapped on to it. The interior in the F30 is pretty nice but nothing to go WOW about and the body doesn't really stand out like the E90 did when it first came out. I rather wait and see how the F32 plays out by then I'll be ready to upgrade anyway.

Also, I always like to give the new models a couple of years to A: get the bugs out and tweak whatever issues are founds and B: see what improvements they make. The E9x changed pretty consistently over it's lifestyle. The 2007 and 2011 models of the E90 were quite noticeably different, so we'll see where the F30 goes in a couple of years.

Additionally, I am not a fan of the "lines" approach when you order now (Sport, Luxury, etc). I really hope that goes away and you can just choose from all of the options and build the car the way you want it ...

I know what you mean, But I hate all that stuff. I preffer a proper manual transmission, N/A inline six, rwd. I like the basics, no nonsense. Thats why I loved my e30 so much!!!

But I understand times are moving on and there is a market for all the new technologies. I don't like that they are forgetting there is still a market for ppl such as myself, but what can ya do/

To each there own.

i think the interior is great and so are the new headlights... but yeah without the M exterior, it just doesn't do it for me. i honestly like the e90 even without the M package.

+1 THIS. I would take this route, I would like to get the later models of the new generation to make sure everything is working properly and see the other changes they made. In no rush to get one now.

The start/stop engine thing when you're not moving is horrible. I was in an F30 335i and it was really annoying

I have never understood the point to that. I get the disclaimer about the fuel savings, but I still am not a believer. Thank goodness they at least included the option of shutting that off...

Right now the F30 does not do it for me. Maybe the new M3 or the coupe will. That said, I sold my 07 E92 AT and bought a mint 09 E90 (N54) 6spd MSport. Everytime I see an F30 I'm more than happy with my decision!!!!!!
