Rust once micro filter was removed?? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Is this normal??? I went to change my micro filter and saw this on the passengers side vent. Not only is the top of the shaft on that fan rusted but so is the lower portion. Can someone help me out here.

Normal. When the fan starts to make noise, search on Blower Motor replacement...

ahh, lovely. A simple rust resistant paint would have done nicely but proably would have been a $500 option but you had to purchase a $4000 package first in order to get it.
