Op great write up! Just finished it and I can finally log my data...cable length doesn't need to be anything crazy I have the 6 ft and the cable is long enough to reach the back of the center console in my e92

Op, great DIY. This is super easy, especially with the pictures. I didn't even disconnect the ECU or the Proceed. There is enough slack in the wires to pull them out and put them off to the side. The only thing that was different for me was that the two bolts under the glove box were a T15 Torx instead of a T8. I have a '08 E92, so maybe it's different.
