Yeah, I got a call my car was done. However they said they only recentered my steering wheel. I could have done that myself if they didnt do an actual alignment. Secondly, Jim said three(3) people took it on a test drive to make sure it was straight. Is it really necessary that 3 people need to take my car out for a steering wheel?

Ok , unfortunately coming from someone who has gone to traffic court three times... you might want to trust me on this one. Go in there 15-20mins before the trial, confident but sincere. Try to catch the officer as soon as he walks in and ask if you may speak to him. Explain to him that you understand what you did wrong and would greatly appreciate it if they just drop the points because of... insurance, driving record, etc.

Being sincere is your best bet, if you go in trying to defend yourself and make an argument the chances of you winning your case are very slim, because the officer..especially a State Trooper is well favored by the judge over you.

12 and 13a... thats Carteret and Elizabeth if I'm not mistaken.. I'd say get a lawyer. The lawyer I usually use/refer charges $500 per appearance. Well worth the money. He recently got my friend off of a 90 in a 35. A lawyers presence alone will save you a few points and if he does his job right you shouldn't get any at all.. specially if its your first offence.

Finally went to court yesterday with an attorney. I got it reduced to an unsafe driving which is no points until the third one in five years. This is my second in 2 years so i've got to ease off the gas. Guys 30+mph over the speed limit could get you a 60 day suspendsion even if you have a clean license. The whole ordeal cost me $1039.00.

DAYUM!!! So if you had plead guilty and took the hit, how much would your insurance have gone up over the three years? Was the pleading down more cost effective?

Insurance would have probably doubled because of 60 day suspendsion + 5 points.

The cop may be cutting you a break. At 15 mph over the speed limit you automaticly lose a CDL lic. for I think 2 years. Also get a lawyer. My son was caught doing 100 in a 55. The court said he had to be represented by a lawyer. First thing they do before going to a court date is to try to work a compromise on the charges to avoid going into a court case. It cuts down on the courts time. Good Luck!

I got a ticket last night in paramus around 1030 for goin 80 in a 40 but he came up to my window and started yelling at me and then i gave him some pba's and i forgot to sign them cause i just got them and he threw them back at me and wrote me a ticket for careless driving,,,hahha and then he asked me if it was an m3 and then i said not its a 3 series and he goes oh just a plain 3 series lol ,,,does anyone know if that is any points and how much it costs? thanks
