Hi,

Anyone tried Wynns DIP3 or anything else similar such as chevron techron??

I have a e92 330 direct injection engine vehicle. I know products like this wont help much if any with the carbon build up issue, but it would be good to clean the fuel injectors/ system and try to get rid of some of the carbon deposits.

Wynns DIP3 comes as a twin pack - aerosol and liquid form.
The aerosol product developed for cleaning the air intake system of direct injection petrol engines. and a chemical treatment for direct fuel injection petrol engines cleaning the fuel system.

Anyone? Ok what about bg 44k?

330i have Piezo injectors like a 335i?

If so the failures are usually electrical rather than clogged.

If they are clogged the best way to fix is to go with ultrasonic cleaning - but this requires removal of the injectors..

From the stuff I've read on carbon build up on the backs of valves in a DI engine, I'm not sure this inlet spray will do much for it.

As far as keeping injectors clean is concerned, I'd strongly recommend using higher quality fuel such as Shell V-Power or BP Ultimate on a regular basis.
