what is needed to run this unit in the us?

Tu run cic you will need only power connection to monitor and video cable from cic to monitor ( about $50). The next thing to run navigation you will need cic emulator ($150). After retrofit you must do coding. If you have obd cable and some knowledges you can do it yourself.

Where did you find cic emulator for 150$ ?

I would only need the controller and the display..
