Hi-Fi Stereo upgrade. (what is the first Port of call??) - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hey Fella's

I know this has probably been talked about a lot but I would like to clarify a few things.

I have the Proffesional head Unit in my E90 m-sport with the Hifi Stereo system, the central speakers under the seats are pathetic to say the least...

Rather than Jump in and start throwing stupidly big speakers into the car i am looking to upgrade the Amp first.

Can anyone shed some light on what Amp is best suited? I would prefer a plug and play amp.

are you sure you have the hifi system?

my E90 has the hifi, and the under seat subs are 8" jobs. Even as someone that enjoys high end hifi gear at home, i find the hifi system to have more than enough punch and bass, even at high volume.

Sounds to me like perhaps you have the base speaker system

A JL XD 600/6 is a good direct replacement
