You seem to have forgotten to state the price.

No worries.

14k seems a bargain given the spec, mileage and full BMW history. I can't see you having any trouble selling at that price. Good luck with the sale.

What should the value be?
I'm going off a part ex figure so I'm now assuming I'm being offered a poor deal.

I think that offer of part ex value is actually very generous, don't forget the dealer will factor in refurb costs and then need to retail the car at a decent level of profit for them. To me it seems they are over allowing on your car as is normal rather than show more discount on the new car.

Only way to find out the true position is to tell them you may have a buyer for your car and you may be in a position to buy without trade in therefore whats their best price. Simply then deduct your current cost to change to find out the true trade in sum and this will determine what level you need to be at to be in profit by private sale.

I think the price is about right to be honest, i was looking for the same spec car but in Auto and cars were usually listed around 15k and sold for around 14k.

It's a firm price IMO

Manual 335i! Looks like a good buy, if only I didn't buy my 330i a few months ago and spend a fortune upgrading to CIC...

Good luck with the sale by the way, shouldn't be on the market for long at that price and spec.

Thats a good price. Not a *cheap* car but certainly good value at at that. Maybe 1500-2k less than I would expect for that spec, age and mileage.

Which is about what you'd expect to be offered part x anyway.

Seem to remember Chris from ni sold his higher spec later one for 14 but with new 225m fitted ,was advertised for months on usual sites so would say its a fair price at best ,not a bargain unless it's totally mint

I can't help thinking that was due to the location of the car (NI), although he was willing to meet up at the ferry, but this would have put people off.

That said, it was almost identical in spec.

Good luck with sale, nice looking motor and I think the price is a bargain, but only time will tell...

Thanks for your replies and I will let you know how I get on.

Thought I would give a forum member a chance to buy it before the dealer put the price up.
