Trunk won't open??? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

For some reason, my trunk won't open! The button on my key fob won't work nor will the trunk release button inside. I can't even open it from the button on the trunk itself when all doors are unlocked. WTF is this?

Anyone experience this problem before? I don't have time to take it to the dealer till Saturday and can't even read the manual to look up this malfunction because it's too big to fit in the glove box

That definitely doesnt sound right. Occasionally the button on my remote might act a little quirky and not work but my Comfort Access always works for me.

Check the valet lock switch in the glove box.

I had the same problem -- when I was trying to catch a plane and all my luggage was in the trunk.

It was indeed the valet switch in the glove box. I don't know if it moved a little bit after I hit a bump or what, but moving it to lock and then unlock position allowed the remote to work again. I still made my flight.

WTH...I just tried this and it worked

It was certainly in the unlock position and I moved it to the lock and back to the unlock position....and it worked.

glad you figured it out...never really worked with the valet switch before, but i was going to recommend the keyhole. hahaha.
