I'm happy with stage-2 but I would like to know if AA is working on stage-3 tune or not?

Stage 3 would be more a custom tune.

Can you PM with regards to Stage 3. I'd like a custom tune if it shows signs of being even better than stage 2. Like I said, if the tune has to be married to the car, I don't want to ever have to change it again, hence asking so many questions.
Btw, I was referring to you ignoring questions across threads about special pricing or gains pre/post 3-stage intake manifold etc. You dodged them all together from what I saw. |

Please be more specific on the custom tune, since according to your previous comment most bolt on performance mods such as intake and exhaust will get adapt to stage-2 tune automatically.

We do not have a Stage 3 but if we did it would be a custom dyno where we have information to look at. This is sometimes needed to get the most out of your car with modifications.
We have done this for a few customers and got a couple hp more. 99% of customers do not need this.

Just saw the Grassroot feature on Speed Channel and they covered who else but Active Autowerkes, interviews of the Hughes brother, featured a couple customer racecars. Great segment, big thumbs up!

![]() Oh snap! =D So I was planning on doing a before and after dyno comparison on the same day. But I've also read the tune needs 200 miles or so to adapt so will I even be able to capture the true delta during the same session?

I'd rather do half a tank on a dyno to get the tune adapted faster. Any dyno people let customers do that?

just another bmw douche bag

As long as you're willing to pay the hourly dyno fee, I'm sure they'd let you do that. It would cost a lot more than a half tank of gas though. Expect to pay around $150 an hour.

F* it, it's much safer for me to throttle/rev crazy stationary than trying to avoid traffic and the road I think. I'll go full tank then.

The jury is still out regarding my thoughts about my AA stage 2 tune. I think I feel a little more throttle response in non sport mode (AT). My mileage seems to have slipped as well I really need to Have a dedicated time to push it but I haven't had time.

Does anyone know what default octane the tune assumes or is given to you if you don't specify?

Is that only necessary for specifying octane above 93? |
