Secondary Cat.. i vs xi

I have the e92 n55 xi. I'm wondering if I remove my secondary cat if it will make a difference on my exhaust note... Does anyone have a picture of the two stock exhausts side by side? Where is my secondary cat located?

Correct me if I'm wrong..

Is this it? Because I know one is on the downpipe (which I swapped out for catless DP) So, we started with four... I removed two... If these are the remaining two, then I can remove these to make..... zero!

The cats towards the top are only found on xi right?

#1 & #2

I feel like all exhausts have these cats.... I checked some pics and a lot of 335i even have that cat (#1 & 2 on diagram).

Cut them out (#1 and 2) and weld in straight pipe. Cheap mod and most new exhausts (dp back) will eliminate them anyway.

It is puzzling why BMW puts secondary cats on the xDrive models. Cats are a pricey part ... hard to imagine BMW would be using them for no reason.

Get rid of those secondary cats, newb!

yes will sound different and give u some more HP.
cats are restrictive - if u still have a set of cats
