With the carrier, that has been working for most. I have a business plan and placed my order yesterday and was promised to have a phone no later than release day, though I almost always get mine 2-3 days before release for all phones.

An article listed the specs for the iPhone 5 vs the SG3. iPhone 5 has 8 hours of talk time, over 3G. Well the SG3 has 11:40 hours of talk time over 3G. Also the SG3 had the iPhone 5 beat in the rest of the specs.

But that doesn't matter, Apple has a loyal cult which will replace their old beat up iPhone phone.

haha... that sucks. I guess it makes my decision much easier of whether to stay with AT&T or move to Verizon.

I suppose one day, maybe...just maybe, there might be a hypothetical scenario where such a feature would've come in handy. For the vast majority, while I'm sure they wouldn't mind if the feature was there, it just isn't important.

yea, that sucks, I thought about switching to verizon since I hate at&t new data plans (no facetime over network, thank god for facebreak) but then I saw that, made the decision to stay w/ at&t a lil easier

I tried to purchase a non-contract iP5 thru AT&T and it's virtually impossible. They essentially want everyone on their new data plan while I want to keep my unlimited.

It's unbelievable you can't even imagine a situation where that feature would be useful. I agree, although it's not earth-shattering, it's a feature that I need and use multiple times a week.

It's not hard to keep your unlimited data, I ordered two 5's this morning and kept my legacy unlimited data, with a 20% discount from an employer I haven't been with in years no less.

I think you have to call Apple. Right now they don't have it set up to buy unlocked online because their servers are getting hammered by people purchasing pre-orders with service contracts.

so i placed my preorder through rogers for the black iphone 5 64g... im #1398 hahah im guna get it a month after it comes out... hopefully i can get my phone sooner cuz its 64g and not 16... dont have much experience with this whole preorder process lol
