Bad Blow-off valve? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Just got a call from my SA and she said reason why CEL was on is due to a bad blow-off valve. I've been running the JB Stage 1 for a month now but I havent heard of anyone having this issue?

I don't know alot about the N55, but I would assume they may have to replace the turbo because the BOV is built into the turbine housing. That's good for you if you are under warranty.

Weird because she said they just ordered only the blow-off. I read somewhere its a common code and should be cleared but i kept getting it. Would that hurt performance any? I didn't get the code when I took the tune off...

Like I said I'm not too familiar with the N55, but it may be a seperate part that you can replace on the turbo. If your BOV was leaking and throwing an underboost code, yes that would hurt performance

My Bov sticks when doing highway runs and a cel pops up. You do not need to replace the turbo just unscrew the old one and pop in the new one. Labor is around 2 hours.
