Fair Market price for unlocked iphone 5 16GB in Asia is about $900-$1,000

I do agree that the secondary market demand is not as high as when iPhone4 launched. Sold for $830 was a disappointment IMO.
But you must accept the fact that the iPhone5 sale did beat Analysts expectations.

silvercoupe if you are still surprised and so amazed by the regular practices in the secondary market. go search Green Tea KitKat on eBay and look at the price, its even crazier. lol. My roommate just grabbed the last 3 packs in little Tokyo in LA for $6 each.

I saw that , what I'm trying to said is no one want to be paid that amount money for iPhone 5 even if their is command for it ! Most of them 2 million are either from new contract or upgrading from 4 or older version iPhone , my wife have ip4 that's why it's nice to get upgrade to the 5 ... I have 4s so I don't see much
Improvement from it + no jailbreak is big NO NO for me ...

Let's be honest who would paid 1k for iPhone now a day it's nothing new anymore !

not sure why you're getting so angry at the OP in this thread but there obviously is a demand for it as all the preorders have been sold out. Even if its from new contracts, it had to have attracted customers from other service providers to switch since i highly doubt there were 2 million people without cell phones before the iphone 5 came out. Just because YOU don't want the iPhone 5 doesn't mean the rest of the economy follows suit. There is a demand, and the OP has supply; simple economics. If there was no demand for it, the market would correct itself (ie the OP wont be able to sell it and would have to lower his price). If you're not interested in buying it you should just stay out of the FS thread. The end.

I agree with you, and a lot of people who pre-ordered them are going to resell them. I would never pay 1k for an iPhone 4ss lolll but there are a lot of people who would pay, so why not take advantage of it lmao.

I didn't pre-order any and I'm not waiting in line cuz as you said its nothing especial even though I had iPhone 4 and now bold 9900 (iPhone 5 is a HUGE upgrade from this bs 9900 haha). Waited in line for iphone 4 though.

Background story: Pre-ordered 3 iPhone5 via Apple.com with expected delivery date of 9/21. One order was cancelled yesterday. Spoke with Apple, who blamed AT&T disapproved the purchase. Spoke with AT&T, and they said purchase was via Apple.com, and they should be responsible for the final decision of any customer purchases. Phoned Apple again, and restated AT&T's respond. Got transferred to Apple CS manager.

Apple CS manager hosted a conference call/wait with me, AT&T Corporate, AT&T store. Apple requires AT&T to take full responsibility, and AT&T Corporate finally admitted for their system error. AT&T tried to request AT&T store to reserve one for me, but was rejected by store manager. AT&T Corporate questioned why does Corporate not have the authority to request a local store for one single exception. AT&T side requested a hold.

AT&T Corporate came back, and asked Apple to reserve one for store pick-up on 9/21. And Apple cs rep said "I believe AT&T should resolve this situation internally without Apple's professional assistance."

Result: AT&T agreed to compensate $300 account credit. Wasted 1.5 hours of my life, but still no iPhone5 on 9/21

The highest end price for iPhone5 16GB (AT&T) was $1,499 on 9/14/2012.
Now the price has dropped to around $760.

I was lucky to sell my 16GB for $830.
