Thinking about buying a new FMIC

Im planning on buying a new intercooler and idk which one to get, ams is on top of my list for its great rep for no leaks. But I want to know which FMIC has the highest hp gain, and which keeps the lowest IAT

just buy one.. anyone of helix, ets, ER, AMS will give you great results on a daily driver. I think ETS you can install without removing the front bumper. I had to remove my front bumper for the ER and i have had no regrets thus far. Car definitely feels better with a tune. You have a tune right?

I dont think I know. Great product for great price. I just installed mine about a week ago. Easy install and great customer service. My car pulls harder on top end. For the price you pay to get an ETS or helix. You can buy the vrsf and nother mod. Just my two cents.

Big difference between ETS 5 and 7? Does the VRSF one come with new piping?

I could be wrong but I believe 7 inch cores provide cooler IAT's but have more of a pressure drop. I'm also almost positive the VRSF 7 inch comes with new piping although i'm not 100% sure.

Ahh, I would try to be limiting the pressure drop so the 7" cores may not be for me. The ETS 5" will probably do me best, easier for warranty work too

Not so much a difference in power but a difference in potential heat soak. Naturally, a larger intercooler will have less tendency for heat soak. The downside is a potential for larger pressure drop, although it might be negligible on the road.

Just get a 5" VRSF....

With the balance of saved money you can also get their 3" DP's!

Then you're FBO

I went with the Evolution Racewerks FMIC, the horse power was difference is very noticeable. probably the single biggest HP gain of any mod (I have afe dci, afe exhaust and Cobb AP).

Save a ton of money and get a 3.5 inch CXRacing IC. Just buy the piping and have a shop install it.

Paid about $550 installed.
