Yes, your 99 boxster is probably a blast to drive being a roadster, I'm not saying it's a bad car. Just that Porsche developed a name to be above and beyond the norm in the car business.

And the idea that any street car comes with no sacrifices is silly. Why isn't a 911 a million dollar supercar? Simple, it's because even a "real" Porsche has pricing limitations. Does this mean a 911 isn't a "real" Porsche either? It's certainly not a 959, 918, or Carrera GT.

I wonder though, considering it purely as a driving car (so ignoring interior, image, looks, etc.), it might be a pretty good deal if you get an IMS/RMS fix in. Seems to be pretty solid otherwise. Performance was good for its time, but time marches on of course.
