The lighter side of the news....

Burning the American flag appears to be bad for one's health.

http://now.msn.com/abdullah-ismail-p...rning-us-flags

A protester in Lahore, Pakistan has died after inhaling the fumes from the American flags he burned on Sunday. Abdullah Ismail was part of a demonstration protesting the Islam-trolling film "The Innocence of Muslims" in front of the U.S. Embassy. According to his fellow protesters, Ismail "complained of feeling unwell from [breathing] the smoke" of the burning American flags and was transported to Lahore's Mayo Hospital where he later died.

You think that somebody losing their life is "the lighter side of news"? Wow, you are one callous individual.

Right. As we all know, if some western infidel sustained any injury or death in the process of burning a Koran on the sidewalk, and the Pakistani public heard of it, they would NEVER rejoice in the suffering of others. In fact, if one of them dared to make light of it, they would be immediately silenced by their embarrased countrymen.

I mean really, it's not as if he cashed in his chips on the way to the blood donor clinic, or buying groceries for his ill mother, or volunteering at their local SPCA or something....

Bleeding heart liberal....

What does it take to make you people defend your country..? The guy was burning YOUR flag.. But that doesn't matter right? ...he died fighting for what he believed in..

Yes, I certainly crack a smile when I hear cases of instant karma like this one..

Go save a whale...

That's the truly scary part; these people ARE serious.

If you continue extend courtesies to those who would prefer to see you dead, and would NEVER in a billion years extend similar courtesies to you, that does not make you classy, that makes you naive.

That's like someone honestly thinking that the starving Tiger in the jungle will not attack them because they are a member of Peta.
There's a term for folks like that, and it's not "classy", it's "dinner".

But hey, unreciprocated concessions, compromises and appeasement works great, just ask any history major...

No, I am cheering the death of an enemy... he's not just a somebody.. I didn't make him my enemy.. He did the moment he chose to burn my flag.. It's called pride and patriotism. I love my country and dislike those who choose to disrespect it.

You obviously haven't seen very many people die. Snorting a burning American flag is a pretty easy way to off yourself.

There's one benefit of buying our products from China.

We should air drop 20,000 more flags over these countries.

I've seen too many of MY FRIENDS die at the hands of these animals. I'm sorry if I don't appear sympathetic to one of them killing themselves in a rather ironic manner. Crybaby...

No body is "cheering" anyone's death. We are merely amused by the irony of this person's demise. If this person was Canadian, Italian, English or several other nationalities this thread may not exist or would likely have another sentiment.

But when the individual who died in this fashion has an agenda to use the very freedoms provided by Americans, to destroy Americas way of life; some of us have a hard time showing empathy.

Any mention as to whether/not he procreated? This might make a good Darwin Award. Hopefully this represents a little chlorine in his gene pool, anyway - and if yes, then it certainly is something to celebrate.

I found the news to be funny.

Here's a guy who probably would be delighted to see every American and their families beheaded one by one, and yet he's the one who dies of his very own hand and hatred.

Ironic indeed. There is a God.

It was probably one of those polyester flags. The dark smoke (basically burnt oil) should have been a hint that the smoke was deadly. But these guys often have the education of a 5 year old so he probably was completely clueless.
