A wedding? Looks like just an ordinary night in the middle east.

The bullets are traveling a lot slower on the way down, assuming they were fired up and not over. They might sting if you get hit, but won't do any real damage.

Is this pure conjecture on your part?

1. I was waiting for at least one dead bird to fall from the sky.
2. lol @ the guy w/ the handgun. He must've feel how I do when I had my .22 at the range and the guy next to me had a S&W 500.
3. Given the shallow angle a few of them were firing at, I was waiting for at least one good ricochet.

Yup, this is typical.

When I was deployed to Iraq they would shoot guns off for weddings, soccer games (if their team won), and other celebratory functions.

Then you'd hear about bullets coming back down and hurting/killing someone innocent.

And no, they weren't blanks. They were your standard 7.62mm bullets for AK-47s.

Terminal velocity for a bullet like the 7.62 is about 200mph if shot straight up in the air. I wouldn't want to get hit by anything going 200mph.

I'm guessing after the end of this video they went drifting on the highway.
